ELEMENTS/PRINCIPLES (EoAPoD) GRID

STEP-BY-STEP ACTIVITIES:

  • Last week, we began the preparation stages for starting our ""Elements" digital collage.

  • We started USING THE "EoA|PoD" PHOTOS that we took over the course of the past 2 B-day Fridays (see Assignment #1 in SchoolLoop).

  • We downloaded these photos onto our computers by either email, Drive, or through a cord into a folder we created, 2 weeks ago, on our desktops titled "EoAPoD" during class.

  • We will use the Photoshop document we create together, in class, titled "LastnameFirstinitial_ElementsCollage" on Photoshop on 9/13.

  • The SIZE of this document was 16" x 16" and was set to 300dpi.

Then, we then began to pull images, one by one, into Photoshop and learned how to CROP images into squares using the Crop Tool.  We then pulled these cropped images of (ANY 9 of the 12 we shot, your CHOICE, depending on which ones looks best together/were shot the best)

onto our "ElementsCollage" file that we opened in Photoshop, scaled them to size, until ALL 9 photos of our choice were on the canvas.

We then cropped the canvas to fit, scaling up or down as needed, and saved them as BOTH a PSD and a JPEG.

These will BE DUE ON THURSDAY THE 2OTH.
